Brooke Nicholson, UDCP
Award-winning Designer Brooke Nicholson brings extensive Design + Build experience to Harrell Design + Build having assisted and led over forty residential renovation projects of all sizes and budgets.
Before beginning her career in design, Brooke was a ballet dancer with the San Francisco Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Smuin Ballet. She also owned and operated a successful ballet school in Idaho.
Brooke’s distinctive background and discipline in dance, set, and costume design align to give her a unique perspective, enabling her to envision exceptionally creative design solutions. Utilizing elements and principles of design, Brooke creates functional and beautiful spaces delivering precisely what her clients need.
“Because the designer is involved from start to finish at Harrell Design + Build, we have the ability to ensure that our clients’ projects are executed exactly to their specifications,” explains Brooke.
Born and raised in California, Brooke graduated from St. Mary’s College in Moraga with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. After deciding to pursue a career change, she attended West Valley College for Interior Design. In 2021, Brooke received gold NARI (National Association of Remodeling Industry) awards for two of her projects. And in 2022, projects designed by Brooke won three NARI local META gold awards, and all three went on to receive NARI Regional awards. She is a Universal Design Certified Professional (UDCP).

Outside of work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and boating. She remains an avid supporter of the arts and arts education.
